Horse with two feathers in mane and hidden face of He Dog in shading He Dog by Judy Larson

The magnificent stallion featured in He Dog pays homage not only to the "sacred dog", the horse, of the Plains Indians, but also to the noble life of a great Dakota, He Dog. He Dog witnessed the murder of his childhood friend Crazy Horse, at Fort Robinson in 1877. He Dog was at his side, a friend to the end. You have to look very close for the hidden image of He Dog in the horses face. Actual image size is 25 3/4" x 18 1/2" with a retail price of $245. (Click image to see larger picture.)
